Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of htmlnotee. By using htmlnotee, signing in, generating HTML notes, saving notes, copying HTML, purchasing a plan, or contacting support, you agree to these Terms.

If you use htmlnotee for a company, team, client, or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

htmlnotee is an HTML-first knowledge note product. It helps users turn source material into visual static HTML knowledge notes, preview sanitized HTML, save notes in knowledge bases, reopen notes, edit notes, and copy reusable HTML.

htmlnotee is not a legal, medical, financial, tax, or professional advice service. AI-generated notes may contain mistakes, omissions, or formatting issues. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on it or sharing it.

• You must sign in with Google OAuth to use protected product features.
• You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
• You must provide accurate account and billing information.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account in a way that bypasses plan limits or security controls.

You retain ownership of the source content you submit and the notes you create. You grant htmlnotee a limited permission to host, process, transform, sanitize, store, display, and transmit your content only as needed to provide and improve the service, protect the product, resolve support requests, and comply with law.

You are responsible for having the rights needed to upload, paste, import, generate from, save, copy, and reuse any source material or generated output in your account.

• AI generation consumes credits according to the current credit rules shown in the product.
• Failed generations are not charged when the failure is caused by timeout, provider error, output truncation, empty sanitized HTML, context-limit rejection, or server error.
• Generated HTML is treated as untrusted and must pass sanitization before preview, save, or copy.
• htmlnotee may remove scripts, event handlers, unsafe URLs, dangerous embeds, forms, fixed overlays, unreadable styles, or other unsafe HTML/CSS.
• htmlnotee may block generation when source content exceeds the configured AI context boundary or violates safety, abuse, or acceptable-use rules.

Top-up credits are available to paid users when additional credits are needed: Small Top-up ($5 for 250 credits), Work Top-up ($15 for 900 credits), and Heavy Top-up ($39 for 2,600 credits). Top-ups add credits only; they do not unlock ultra-long notes, priority queue, or higher concurrency by themselves.

Prices, taxes, checkout currency, and final payable amount are controlled by the pricing page and checkout page shown at purchase time.

Credits are consumed from the earliest-expiring bucket first: Free welcome/monthly credits, subscription monthly credits, then top-up credits.

• Creator and Pro subscriptions continue until cancelled or expired.
• Cancelling a subscription stops later renewals. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period.
• Annual plans release credits monthly rather than all at once.
• When a subscription expires, the account returns to Free. Existing notes remain readable and copyable.
• Top-up credits expire after 12 months unless checkout or product copy states a different term.
• Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks may remove unused credits, freeze related access, or reverse credited balances where appropriate.

• Do not use htmlnotee for illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or infringing activity.
• Do not upload malware, scripts intended to attack users, phishing content, credential theft material, tracking pixels, or unsafe embeds.
• Do not attempt to bypass HTML sanitization, account limits, credit accounting, security controls, or payment controls.
• Do not submit content that you do not have the right to process, store, transform, or reuse.
• Do not use automation or scraping that degrades the service or abuses credits, imports, OCR, or generation queues.

Payments are processed by the checkout provider shown at purchase time, including Creem where applicable. You authorize the checkout provider to charge the selected payment method for subscriptions, one-time passes, top-ups, taxes, and related fees shown at checkout.

Refund eligibility depends on the refund policy, checkout terms, legal requirements, and the facts of the request. Billing errors, duplicate charges, non-delivery, failed paid access, and service-impacting technical issues should be sent to support with the account email and order ID.

htmlnotee may change features, limits, supported file types, providers, style presets, pricing, and credit rules to keep the service reliable and sustainable. We try to avoid disrupting existing paid access during an active billing period unless required for security, abuse prevention, provider limitations, or law.

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Outages, provider failures, model limits, maintenance, and network issues may affect generation, preview, import, or billing operations.

You may stop using htmlnotee at any time. htmlnotee may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security risk, abuse credits or providers, fail payment, submit unlawful content, or use the product in a way that harms the service or other users.

htmlnotee is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free output, perfect AI accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, htmlnotee is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption.
